14 August 2021 - The Department of Foreign Affairs wishes to inform the public that the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine status of the province of Ilocos Norte has been extended until August 31, 2021.

In view of the MECQ extension and representations made by the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte, all passport applicants of the DFA Consular Office (CO) in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte residing outside the province of Ilocos Norte are advised not to proceed to their scheduled appointment as entry to the province by non-residents remains temporarily suspended during this period.

CO San Nicolas will only process applicants with confirmed appointments and whose residence is within Ilocos Norte.
