PARAÑAQUE CITY, 17 September 2024 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) informs the public that as a safety measure, passport and authentication services in DFA Aseana and Consular Offices (COs) were temporarily interrupted in the morning of Tuesday, 17 September 2024, to perform a thorough sweep and security check of the premises due to a security threat received by the Department.

Affected applicants for consular services with confirmed appointment on Tuesday, 17 September 2024, who were unable to proceed with their application, in DFA Aseana and Consular Offices (COs) will be rescheduled as follows:

FOR PASSPORT APPLICANTS:

Affected passport applicants at DFA Aseana and Consular Offices (COs) with confirmed appointments in the morning of Tuesday, 17 September 2024, will be accommodated from Wednesday, 18 September 2024 to Thursday, 17 October 2024, at their respective original appointment site.

Our clients’ safety and convenience is of utmost importance to us; thus, we indulge the public’s patience and understanding regarding the suspension of operations. Rest assured that the necessary services will be provided upon resumption of operations. Affected applicants are advised to observe the one-month grace period in processing their passport applications, to avoid crowding and long queues once operations resume.
